Citizenship in the Community

Requirement 7 requires 8 hours of volunteering with a charitable organization outside Scouting.

You can fulfill your 8 hours of volunteering any way you would like, but please run it by me first.

Two Volunteer Opportunities/Suggestions:

1.    Southside Food Pantry – across from Trader Joe’s

2934 E 27th Ave, Spokane, WA 99223

Every Saturday from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. (also note: open Wednesday 11-23-22, the day before Thanksgiving)

Okay to volunteer without a parent or guardian, if you are age 10 or above

Sign Up for shifts here

2.    Santa Express – Basement of River Park Square (old Mobius Children’s Museum location)

All proceeds benefit Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery.  Scouts would help kids shop and wrap presents.

Scouts under age 16 cannot volunteer alone, so they would need to volunteer when I am there.  Scouts 16 and over can volunteer anytime.

Join us for two dates:

Monday 12-19-22 – 4:00 – 7:30 p.m. time slot

Wednesday 12-21-22 – 4:00 – 7:30 p.m. time slot

Sign up on the Sign Up Genius (sign up under “Elves (20)” on these dates and times):
