Saturday Merit Badge Classes
An opportunity to earn Emergency Preparedness and/or First Aid starts on Saturday 03/12/2022. Both classes will be held at the Shadle Park Library. Emergency Prep is from 9:00am-11:30am and First Aid is 1:00pm to 3:30pm. These are being run by the Washington State Guard and to register, contact James Brewer at jcbrewer1@comcast.net. A second session will be required on Saturday 04/16/2022. For Scouts who complete them, there are special patches awarded that can only be earned by taking these classes!
Citizenship in the Nation
Homework assigned on Tuesday is requirement #8. Please ask your Scout if they have completed it before Tuesday. The class continues on Tuesday 03/15 at 7:15pm.
Camping Rides
If your Scout would like to attend any of our camping trips, but needs a ride to and from the location, please have them document that on the sign up sheet. We can and will arrange for another adult to take them. We want to make sure everyone has an opportunity to camp with us.
Camping Update for April & May
We wanted to let you know that we’ve made some small changes to our April and May camping plans. The April trip will be from 04/29-05/01 and our hope is to go to Cusick Creek for our annual New Scout Skills campout. The May trip will be 05/20-05/22 and if all the snow is gone, we’ll be hiking at Upper Priest Lake. Much more detail will be available as we get closer.
Masks
As of Tuesday 03/15, masks will be optional at all troop functions. The church is following WA State guidelines and so we will follow as well. If you are not 100% comfortable removing your mask, please feel free to continue to wear it! It will be nice to see smiling faces again.
