HAPPY WINTERY NOVEMBER- Be safe out there~

CAMPING –CANCELLED FOR THIS WEEKEND – OBVIOUS RESONS! Sorry… we tried, but the weather did not cooperate. 😦

Scouting for Food – THANK YOU SO MUCH TO THE FAMILIES THAT WERE ABLE TO HELP WITH BAG DISTRIBUTION ON WEDNESDAY! Normally, this is a mandatory event for all scouts, but with the pandemic, please  make a  decision to attend based on your comfort level. PLEASE DO NOT COME IF YOU ARE SICK,  or have come in to contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or potentially exposed to COVID 19 in the last 14 days.

Food Pick up is this Saturday, the 14th at 10AM. Let’s meet at the parking lot of Hamblen Presbyterian Church. We will need parents to drive; ride sharing outside your own family will be allowed, but it is recommended that masks are worn by everyone in the vehicle.

You can bring aluminum cans for us to take. ALSO, I will have badges available for pick up if you did not come to the drive by event.

RECHARTER – THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE RESPONDED! I am encouraged and delighted that so many of you are staying with us while we hang on until we can meet in person again! Please LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS REGARDING HOW WE CAN IMPROVE AND SERVE YOUR SCOUTS DURING THIS TIME!

If you have not checked in with me yet, please do so. I will only renew the membership of scouts at the time if recharteing if I have been explicitly told your scout is continuing. You can rejoin after the new year, but that may require a new membership application. Dues are $120, and I would appreciate payment by November 25.  This is because all scouts who recharter have to be paid for from the scout account, and it hurts out troop if we pay for scout who does not pay, or who has no intention of belonging for the coming year. Those intending to be registered adults, I need updated Youth Protection certificates as well. Thank you!

PLEASE let me know if you want your scout to continue, but need financial assistance. WE WANT EVERY SCOUT TO BE ABLE TO JOIN SCOUTING. It is available on a case by case basis.

Here is how to pay electronically:

ALUMINUM CANS – I want to keep this Activity going. It provides a substantial amount of revenue for the troop which helps keep our dues low. I am hoping that a lot of you have been collecting cans since we stopped seeing each other in March. If you have cans that you’ve been collecting, bring them to my house (5226 S. Madelia) and leave them by the front door. I will get them to Bob.
