Scouting for Food is still happening, and is needed by families in our community more than in recent years. Normally, this is a mandatory event for all scouts, but with the pandemic, please make a decision to attend based on your comfort level. PLEASE DO NOT COME IF YOU ARE SICK, or have come in to contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or potentially exposed to COVID 19 in the last 14 days.
We are doing bag distribution on Saturday, November 7 at 9 AM. Let’s meet at the parking lot of Hamblen Elementary. We will need parents to drive; ride sharing outside your own family will be allowed, but it is recommended that mask are worn by everyone in the vehicle.
Food pick-up will be on Saturday, November 7 at 9 AM. Let’s meet again at the parking lot of Hamblen Elementary. I do need one scout to help Brian Rubright at the Rosauers the morning of the 14th to receive the food collected for delivery to the food bank. This is about a 3-4 hour commitment. Email me if your scout wants to do this instead of the neighborhood collection. christellcasey@gmail.com
We do have campouts going both weekends, so if you are not going, please plan to come and help us out these weekends!
