POPCORN-Felicia Boyle is going to be our popcorn kernel again this year. She does need a co-chair to help her this year and learn the process to possibly take over from her next year. Ideally we’d like a co-chair to be someone with a younger scouts who can maybe help us with popcorn for the next year or so. Please contact me or Felicia if you’re interested.
Popcorn this year will be COVID style. Right now we do not know that we will be able to do storefront sales. Because of this Trail’s End has worked with our Council to find the safest way Scouts can sell popcorn.
Online sales opened July 1st. You can register your Scout on trails-end.com. They can set up their own page for online sales with their goals, picture, a little about their Scouting adventure, etc. and their online page can be shared to family and friends as well as directly linked to social media platforms such as Facebook.
The goal is to maximize the online sales where product is shipped directly to customers and Scouts aren’t handling product, credit cards or cash. Prizes this year will be based on points and in forms of gift cards only, and double points will be awarded for online sales. There are also other incentives such as the first 200 Scouts to sell $2,500 online from 7/1-8/15 will receive a bonus Amazon gift-card of $200.
Both the 313B and 313G units are registered to sell popcorn, and free shipping is being offered to customers from 7/3-7/5, so now is the best time to sell popcorn. We will look at setting up a Zoom meeting to go over more of the popcorn program over the next couple weeks as I learn more.
PERSONAL FITNESS- Beginning next Tuesday at 7 PM we are going to be doing the physical fitness part of the personal fitness merit badge.
we will meet at Hart Field next to Jefferson Elementary school on the track. Please come with a mask and a water bottle. Instructions about how we will accomplish this task Will be provided there.
Once the physical fitness part is over, I will make myself available to sign off on any badges that need completed for which I am the counselor
