Troop 313 Members and Friends
Following Governor Inslee’s actions requiring state residents to take measures toward reducing the spread of the Covid-19 virus, we will not have Troop Meetings or Events for the next 8 weeks (thru 11 May). These events include:
- Riparia Campout – March 20-22
- Pack 349 Pinewood Derby – March 22
- Josh Eckert’s Eagle Court of Honor – March 28
- Cusick Creek Campout – April 17-19
- Summer Camp Meeting – May 12
We will continue to plan for Summer Camp and will make adjustments to provide information and answer questions regarding Summer Camp through the Troop website.
If your son is close to his 18th birthday and is a Life Scout working on Eagle Scout, rest assured the Council will take the current closures into account in order to extend the timeline.
Please put in every effort to remain calm and to make sensible decisions for yourselves and family members. If you haven’t yet, I would encourage you to take a close look at the “Emergency Preparedness Merit Badge” requirements and go over those with your loved ones. Events are impacting our lives hourly, so stay in touch with local and national news announcements.
As for me, I’m making myself available for deployment with the Washington State Guard and may be difficult to reach to answer questions you may have. Our local/state health officials are creating hotline phone numbers for that. I trust they will provide the most accurate and prompt information available.
