I hope everyone had a lovely day yesterday. I want to take a moment to say I am grateful for all the parents in our troop. Thank you for sharing your boys with us, and for all the help teaching badges, managing popcorn (FELICIA BOYLE!!!) attending campouts, sitting on boards of review, and generally supporting the troop. Special thanks to Bob and Jim for all their time and effort teaching and mentoring our young men.
Just a few announcements:
Regular meetings in December 3 and 10. We had a para-cord activity planned, but that has ben moved to January. Please obtain approximately 100 ft of para-cord, in any color they choose for this activity. More details to come.
LEADERSHIP ELECTIONS – The boys will be electing new leadership at the meeting on December 10. If your son wants to run for Senior Patrol Leader, please have him see Mr. Mick. Other leadership positions are also available that satisfy rank advancement requirements. Current leaders will complete their 6-month tenure in December. Leaders elected in December will retain that position for 6 months, until June 2020.
WEBELOS SKILLS DAY- This is a mandatory event that we put on each year to introduce local cub scout packs to us, and to basic scout skills. This year it will be December 7 from 9-12PM at the Hamblen Park Shelter. More details to come.
FUN NIGHT – December 17 – The boys had initially chosen ice skating at EWU, however, the rink is booked full. So, in the alternative, they picked roller skating at Roller Valley. Lucky for us it looks like Tuesday’s are $2 discount night! (plus skate rental) https://rollervalleyspokane.com/schedule/
