ADVANCEMENT NIGHT/PLC – This coming Tuesday we have a Patrol Leader Council Meeting at 6:20 PM NOTE THE NEW TIME. If your son is in leadership please make sure he attends. Advancement night will follow.
DECEMBER 3 and 10 MEETINGS – We have a great activity planned for these meetings! Please have your son bring on the 3rd approximately 100 ft of paracord, in any color they choose! (Pinetreees will be with Mr. Davis instead)
TROOP DUES -Thank you to those who have already paid! I appreciate it! Our Charter and all Troop Dues for the year 2020 are due in December. You should have received an email from me with the balance for your son(s).
WEBELOS SKILLS DAY- This is a mandatory event that we put on each year to introduce local cub scout packs to us, and to basic scout skills. This year it will be December 7 from 9-12PM at the Hamblen Park Shelter. More details to come.
LEADERSHIP ELECTIONS – The boys will be electing new leadership at the meeting on December 10. If your son wants to run for Senior Patrol Leader, please have him see Mr. Mick. Other leadership positions are also available that satisfy rank advancement requirements. Current leaders will complete their 6-month tenure in December. Leaders elected in December will retain that position for 6 months, until June 2020.
GIRLS TROOP- There has been some interest in starting a girl’s troop here at 313. Some adults here have been working behind the scenes to find out what needs to be done to get one up and running.
Right now, we are trying to assess the interest, and find out if we have enough girls to feasibly get things going. Message me or come talk to me at a meeting if you have a daughter who might be interested, or if you know of a friend or family member who might be. An informational meeting is being planned and we want to get the word out.
It also goes without saying that this endeavor will also need some additional adult volunteers.
